I am employed as a Research Assistant, in the School of Psychology & Neuroscience within the College of Medical, Veterinary & Life Sciences at the University of Glasgow. I gained a Bachelor’s degree (BSc) in Psychology from Fudan University and a Master’s degree (MSc) in Basic Psychology from East China Normal University before I came to London from China in 2016. I have completed a Master’s degree (MA) in Music Education from the Institute of Education (IOE), University College London (UCL) in 2017, with a dissertation focused on the impact of cultural meaning in Chinese and non-Chinese audience’s perceptions of basic emotions communicated in erhu music. Since 2017, I have conducted my doctoral study in the Department of Culture, Communication and Media (CCM) at the Institute of Education (IOE), University College London (UCL), with a thesis focused on the establishment of a novel approach for real-time psycho-physiological and emotional response measurement. I have passed my viva in July 2023.
