profile photo of Sandra OberoiMusic educator, singer, voice teacher and researcher, Sandra Oberoi, founded Harmony-The Music School in India over 15 years ago offering singing and instrumental training for children and adults. Choral Director of the award-winning youth choir 'The Harmony Chorus', she has led the group on national and international concert tours and competitions since 2011. Presently a postgraduate researcher at the Institute of Education, UCL, she has a master's in music and vocal performance from Northwestern University, USA. Sandra serves as President of the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) India Chapter and is on the Executive Board of the International Society for Music Education (ISME) where she also chairs the Advocacy Standing Committee. Sandra has performed and presented across the globe on topics that include exploring vocal versatility, vocal hygiene, adolescents and singing, culturally responsive pedagogy, music education in India; is actively involved in providing continuing professional development for singing and instrumental teachers in India, and continues to curate unique opportunities for the advancement of music and performance among women and youth in India.
